Javier Girotto & Vince Abbracciante
Javier Girotto: soprano sax, flute
Vince Abbracciante: accordion
It is certainly not the first time that jazz and Argentine traditions have fallen in love until ending up in a vigorous embrace, similar to an impetuous and sudden tango.
It is not even the first time that the accordion, a popular instrument (if it can be said) that carries in its body the echo of a mixture of all the folklores of the world, is exalted to leave its traditional universe with delight.
But the Italian Vince Abbracciante (young new accordion talent) and the Argentine Javier Girotto, lyrical and very melodic, always looking for intimate conversations with their instruments, have the sensitivity and talent to raise this exercise of “style” to the highest degree of aesthetic fulfillment and sentimental poetry.
Together the two artists propose original music, giving “new bridges between jazz, folklore, tango”, free improvisation and neoclassical writing with melancholy and passionate excerpts, expressive refinement of their musical universe that talks as mach the soul and the introspective thinking.
The duo started in 2015 and in 2021 the Dodicilune record label released their first album entitled “Santuario”.
“Santuario” received the ORPHEUS AWARD as the best jazz production of 2021 and was selected by JAZZIT magazine among the best 100 records of 2021.
